IJBASS operates a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure the scholarly quality, originality, relevance, and integrity of published research.

1. Submission and Initial Screening

Manuscripts are submitted through the online submission portal. The editorial office conducts an initial assessment to determine whether the manuscript is within the journal's scope and meets the basic formatting and submission requirements. Manuscripts are also screened for originality using plagiarism-detection software.

2. Reviewer Assignment

Manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening are assigned to a minimum of two independent and qualified reviewers. The review is conducted using a double-blind procedure in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.

3. Peer Review and Evaluation

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on relevant scholarly criteria, including:

• Originality and contribution to the field;
• Methodological rigor and appropriateness;
• Scientific or scholarly significance;
• Clarity and quality of presentation; and
• Overall relevance to the journal's scope.

4. Editorial Decision

Following peer review, the editorial office makes a decision based on the reviewers' assessments and the overall scholarly quality of the manuscript. Possible editorial decisions include:

• Accept
• Minor Revisions
• Major Revisions
• Reject

Authors are informed of the editorial decision and, where applicable, receive relevant reviewer comments to assist with manuscript revision.

5. Revision and Re-evaluation

When revisions are requested, authors must submit a revised manuscript addressing the reviewers' and editors' comments. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the original reviewers for further evaluation where appropriate.

6. Final Acceptance and Publication

Manuscripts that satisfy the editorial and peer-review requirements are accepted for publication and proceed to the final editorial and production stages. Accepted articles are published online under the journal's applicable open-access license.
